This project is to promote and explore an innovative way to practice Kung Fu with the Wooden Dummy (木人樁).

Special sensors are embedded inside the Wooden Dummy such that it can detect the player’s action signal.

The player can play a Rhythm-action game by hitting the Wooden Dummy or just practice Wing Chun with this installation as they wish.

《樹之舞》是資訊視覺化的作品。樹木有情緒，只是它們不會表達（人類無法聽見）。我們希望藉由容易理解的視覺，呈現樹木每一天的心情。我們在學校內種了一顆金桔樹，並在旁裝設感測器，持續收集日照、溫度、濕度資料，並根據金桔樹的生態習慣，定義出十四種情緒。使用者可隨意選擇任一個日期，當天資料經過分析，便轉化成特定情緒的舞蹈，在螢幕上播放。

“Dancing Tree” is an art installation of data visualization. Trees have emotions, but they cannot tell ( or people cannot hear it ). So we developed this installation to show tree’s feelings. They have different moods in different weather. We plant a kumquat, and put some sensors on. Sensors collect temperature, humidity, lighting data every 10 minutes. Then we analyze those data to know its moods. By studying the ecology of kumquat, we defined 14 emotions in different weather. User can pick a date, the installation will analyze data of that day, and transform to a dance with a song, and display on screen.

風如何向我們訴說它的到來？風起，書頁就會隨之翻動。此裝置以富有詩意的翻頁動畫與線路裝置做為核心概念。由於地理位置、風俗民情的不同，台灣各地的風有著自己獨特的性質，我們以中央氣象局的風速資料為內涵，詮釋不同地區的風情。

How would the wind told us he is coming? When the wind is coming, the pages of books were flipped. Poetic Animation and circuit device is the core of our installation. Each place has its own customs, so we use the data of wind speed from Central Weather Bureau to display the characteristic of different area.

透過光與影的互動，在碎字間自由拼組、變化，並在螢光紙滿佈的場域中，創造出屬於自己的影字。

We designed five dodecahedrons with lots of Chinese characters and you can create your own Chinese words through the interaction between the lights and shadows in a dark space covered with fluorescent papers.

本裝置以「節能減碳」的理念進行設計與開發，希望能結合本校的Freebike，藉由主題性的概念與裝置，讓使用者在騎乘Freebike時，了解到能源的可貴。除了手機充電的概念訴求，並以輪胎上的LED圖案，以圖像化的概念更加深大家印象，以科技概念達到此訴求。另外，我們會先建立好網頁介紹呱呱超人以及我們整個專案的內容，讓同學能即時了解使用流程。

This project is motivated by conserving energy to reduce carbon emission. We hope we can use Freebike in NCCU to combine this concept and also make users understand the value of energy. Besides conveying the idea of charging cell phone by riding Freebike, we also use the LEDs on the wheels. When the wheels turning, the LEDs will emerge pictures to make a deeper impression. In addition, we build a website to introduce our project and the operation procedure.
